I have added some god rays to this little image. Cesar Dacol Jr suggested that I add god rays to pull the image together. I agree and so that I have done, hope I did them right. I didnt want them to be too obvious but still noticeable. He also recommended I crop the image to place the monster more to the left so as to be less central. I rotated the image a touch to have the skylight less parallel with the image edge also. I also made his teeth more visible.

A small sculpey head
Well my first Sculpey head came up ok but, when I baked him, it cracked into a few pieces so it ended up in a scrap pile. This one is my second sculpey head. This is my second sculpy anything, never used the stuff before. Its kind of annoying to use cos its soft. I see there is a Sculpey firm, Ill get that one next time.

Todays sketch is a bit of a demon dog, maybe more zombie demon dog. I was thinking that he was killed with a plastic bag over the head and now hes back from the dead to take out the fools who bagged him and tossed him in a pit.

I had about hour to spare yesterday and so I spent it drawing a bit of an alien guy. Not sure if he works but, he was fun to get on paper.

Hello, to you today!! I hope you had a great day, mine could have been better.
Anyway, I came up with a great little animation idea last night. Just something simple involving an alien humanoid and his pet watching tv. So today I had the fun task of designing the pet. I think I have something kind of solid after a few rough drafts. Here you will see the final drawing of his pet. As far as the alien and the scene go, that will be next to design.
The look I would like to go for wouldnt be a typical friendly cute look. Im going for a more mean kind of look, a rough alien and a bit of a shit hole house that he lives in. But then the story will be kind of friendly. A bit of contrast if you will.

I am currently enjoying the designing of creatures of all sorts. As a child I would draw images of beasts and odd creatures and used to dream of programs like Zbrush, Maya and Photoshop. Now they are real and I am playing with them all the time. Cant wait for them to be hooked up to a VR set and gloves so I can do it everywhere I go!

First post
Well hello there, here is my first post. Just a short hello. I am into the art of 3D stuff. I am honing my skills in computer generated images to then take to my art and use as a new medium to create my ideas. Hopefully this blog can be interesting to look back on from today onwards into my creations from here on.
I have been working in 3D now for around 4yrs so am starting to get a bit of a grip on it. I am now starting to create works that are more of what I am thinking rather than practice pieces. So with that said this should get interesting...I hope.
